Zander George Robbins is the new kid in school and everyone wants to know who he is, including Kacey, an ex-Perf. He can be a overly confident at times. It is revealed that he is Jewish. Zander is the official leader of Gravity 5.
He is portrayed by Max Schneider
In "How to Rock Braces and Glasses", Zander is the new kid at Brewster High. Sometime before this episode, he put together Gravity 4. He recruits Kacey to be a part of the band, after he was the first to uncover her impeccable talent. He is a bit obsessed with looking at himself and is sort of a player. It is later learned in "How to Rock a Yearbook" that the real reason behind Zander's vanity and obsession with girls is caused by him constantly trying to hide his insecurities about his old yearbook photo, and that he accomplishes this by putting on a bit of an I'm-better-than-you persona so people will not make fun of him, such as when he flips out over a little bit of acne on his face. (The photo was of him screaming with his mouth hanging wide open.)
Relationships with Other Characters
Status: Best Friends (Possible Crush)
He is the first to accept Kacey for who she is even with braces and glasses. He managed to get all of the other members to accept Kacey into their group. He also makes her lead singer in Gravity 4 and it becomes Gravity 5. They've stuck together through everything from the start and are willing to be the best friends they can even if that means sacrifice. The two have been on many wacky adventures and Zander always stands up for Kacey or tells her that something isn't right. Kacey always comes around for him in the end and is very grateful to be a part of Gravity 5. Zander and Kacey have a great bond and have been friends from the start. It is very possible that Kacey likes him, as you can see that in 'How to Rock a Love Song' Kasey seems slightly sad when it isnt her. (See Zacey)
Status: Best Friends (Possible Crush)
Zander convinced Stevie to let Kacey be in the band. In How to Rock a Messy Bet, it was shown that Zander didn't try to eliminate Stevie from the bet at all. He, along with the other members of the band, love and fear her. Zander and Stevie are the closest friends other than Nelson and Kevin since they often share inside jokes and know a lot about each other. Although Zander is a new student, they are good friends and they often stop their other band members from going too far. They both seem to be the more focused members of Gravity Five, and they have a strong connection as best friends or as a couple. The two also seem unaware of personal space, because they often touch each other's shoulders and stand really close together constantly. Zander has also called Stevie "Beautiful" and the "Toughest Girl" he knows. Also, whenever Stevie sees Zander flirt with someone, she seems to get a little jealous. Their friendship's bond is very strong and they seem to help each other out in any way they can, as they do to help everyone else in the band. They have shown they have the strongest romantic connection in the series. It has been rumoured that they might have possible crushes on each other, and many fans of the show predict that Zander and Stevie would've became a canon couple if HTR had a season 2. (See: Zevie)
Status: Best Friends
Status: Best Friends
Zander helps Kevin with his presidential campaign. They are both members of Gravity 5 and perform many numbers with each other. He managed to convince Kevin that Kacey would be a good addition to the group.
Status: Frenemies/Possible love interest
They usually flirt on the show. Even though Molly is mean to Kacey and Stevie she shows a little bit of respect to Zander, Kevin, and Nelson. When Molly is picking on Gravity 5 she usually makes eye contact with Zander.
On How To Rock Halloween she flirts with Zander, and he calls her hot. However, this was only in Kacey's dream. Though in How To Rock a High School Sensation, they flirted for real.
Although he considers Molly the enemy, he does not underestimate her sphere of influence or her evil tendencies. (See: Zolly)
In How To Rock High School Sensation they both flirted with each other and Zander seemed to enjoy her company. When Molly asked if Zander thought popular was a good song or not he said it wouldn't be a song he would listen to but that he still liked it. Afterwards they both smile at one another and Molly says "An insult wrapped up in a compliment. I like it". During the final performance they danced together and shared a high five at the end of the song.
